ABOUT
Natural products seem to be in my genes. Co-founding Nutravite in 1994 with my dad, Sam Ibrahim, a German educated pharmacist, I built the company from start-up to Canada’s fastest growing natural health products brand from the 90s to mid 2000’s, opening and managing every major retail account over a 14-year period, including Shoppers Drug Mart and Wal-Mart Canada. In fact, Nutravite was shortlisted for Wal-Mart “Pharmacy Vendor of the Year” twice during that period.
Additionally, I have developed and launched over 80 natural health products in Canada, the USA, and Hong Kong. One of these products Nutravite Joint Cream is a best seller on Amazon with over 500 reviews!
For the past 13 years I have been operating a successfully from home selling natural health products on-line and through distributors in the US and Hong Kong. The business is small but established, focussing only on products that have solid market traction. This allows me the time to pursue other opportunities and I had the pleasure of spending 3 years on contract as the EVP of a sucessful Natural Health Products distributor. Pivotting production to Canada to keep up with pandemic related demand, I also implemented a series of operational improvements such as thorough data mining to provide clarity on performance/trends of each SKU at store level as well as broker network performance/trends and implementing a state-of-the-art retail employee product training portal.
During the pandemic we had extraordinary growth with one of our brands and then quickly ran into supply chain issues. Farid was instrumental in helping us to rapidly shift all production to Canada which kept the product consistently in stock and resulted in unprecedented sales and profit growth.
